Let's exclude comedy actors, just because %82 of them play the same character. It's my party and I'll cry if I want to. So no comedians.

Iron Man 3 got me thinking. Robert Downey Jr kind of sucks. Is he technically a comedian? I'm not sure. "o look I'm witty." That's his range. Tony Stark and Sherlock are pretty much the same character. So is his character in U.S. Marshall's for that matter. He was good in Zodiac and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, gotta give him his props there.

One thing that kills me too is how he looks at his Sherlock role. He goes on a late night show and talks about how Sherlock and Watson probably had some gay action going on. Conan Doyle being one of my three favorite authors, that pissed me off. Do your freaking research dude. You apparently care nothing about trying to get to know the character you are playing.

Benedick Cuminyourbath did. He has stated that the two aren't gay. Good for you.

Conan Doyle had two friends that were gay. He tried to convince both that it was a mental illness and that they should probably get help in a mental institute. So yeah RD Jr, obviously he wanted his two main characters to be gay

One track actor and cares nothing about his roles.

So who you got? Don't you dare say Leonardo DiCaprio. Don't you dare.

Will Smith. Haven't seen a role of his that has impressed me really, and yes I've seen Ali and Pursuit of Happiness. Personally I think he and his movies fricking blow. I am so glad he said no to Django and wanted a rewrite (and that requires a ton of balls to say that to Tarantino). Jaime Foxx is a legitimately good actor, and Smith hasn't ever played a person I couldn't believe wasn't originally from Philly.

Agree. He's just so "cool." I think that's the extent of his popularity.

Shut your mouth. I don't really think that he is a great actor. I just think that he plays an incredibly entertaining angry black man.

Will Smith has one dramatic note. If you only saw it once you'd think "hey he's not bad". But when he goes back to it every other movie it gets kinda bleh. He's great being will smith, but he's not a great actor. But it's hard to call him overrated because most people don't think of him as a great actor. Robert Downey jr makes more sense. Most people probably think he's a good actor but the OP is right. Just a mildly funny comedic actor.

Ding ding ding. It's pretty bad when you'd rather see Keanu reeves play a staring role over you.

Please. One of the most underrated actors out there. Hi, and Viggo Mortenson. People don't think of that because he played Batman but he's got some chops.

Rescue Dawn and The Machinist were roles virtually impossible for %90 of the actors out there. The Prestige, The Fighter.

I just watched the Matrix for the very first time somehow. I think it was better off with Reeves. The role seemed too understated for Smith. He might have ruined it. Great movie though.
