Awesome news. Is it a total pipe dream to hope to see him get some minutes on Sunday?

if he's in the squad, wouldn't surprise me if Arsene eased him in as a sub.
actually, wouldn't surprise me if AW was crazy and started him. he doesn't have the best record of easing people back into fitness.

I would totally understand easing him in, but could the argument be made that since this is really the last major test of the season, maybr you start him and figure we can get by the rest of the way without him if a disaster happens.

Arteta always seems to play really well against Everton, he gives that extra push against his former team. I think he could really feed off the negative energy at Goodison Park. I wouldn't mind seeing the Flamini/Arteta partnership and then subbing off either one of them around the 70' and put in Ramsey. Also wouldn't mind seeing Kallstrom get some more minutes soon, I was impressed with what little I saw against Swansea.

definitely would start with Arteta/Flamini on the road vs that team. Arteta-Ramsey is a great combo. they bring out the best in each other. can't wait to get that back.
i'm kinda bummed Gnabry hasn't gotten more burn in this injury-plagued stretch. i think he deserved a bit more PT. i'd be a bit surprised if we didn't start the same XI as City.

What chances do y'all give either of those 2 playing again this season? I'm guessing Ramsey will eventually be given a go, but if rather not risk him getting injured and missing part if next season as well. For me, Diaby is probably done. Even if he gets one game something on his body will break down. Sucks because a healthy pairing if those two probably would gave gotten us over the hump this year.

ramsey will certainly play again this season. diaby has a chance to make an appearance late, probably as a sub, if he stays healthy in training this next month.

Diaby, when he plays well, would help us a lot with our problems in the center of midfield, when paired with the right partner. He'd be perfect for either Arteta or Flamini, and I'd be interested to see how he does with Ramsey or Wilshere.

would certainly be interesting. i just hope he can stay healthy. feel awful for him.

Just for reference sake, below is the 11 we played when we beat Everton 4-1 at The Emirates in the FA Cup quaterfinals:
Fabianski
Sagna, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Gibbs
Arteta, Flamini
Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ozil, Cazorla
Sanogo
Rosicky and Giroud also played in that game, and really opened the game up as we scored 3 goals after they came on.
Given the lineup we played that day, there is no reason we shouldn't be able to get the result we need on Sunday. We'll have the same back four, the same Arteta-Flamini partnership in the middle, and then any one of Ox, Rosicky, Cazorla, Podolski in the three behind Giroud (likely).
Like it was said earlier, I would be surprised if Wenger didn't pick the same team from the Man City game. They put in a good performance, overall, and I was actually surprised with how well they were going forward, especially in the second half. If either of those teams were going to win it, it was going to be Arsenal.
No doubt that Sunday lunch time league games are much different than a home FA Cup game, but the point is the same. Even with our injuries, we should still have enough in the squad to get what we need from the game.

Ramsey isn't playing in the WC so he'll have like two months off after the end of the season, 3 months if you don't count preseason. Rambo is our best player and with FA cup and securing fourth still very much in the air you bet your fricking house he'll play if at all possible

Yeah I just remembered Ramsey had a set back or else he'd probably already be playing. I just don't want it to linger like t has with jack.
