Boy, early teens, huge douche, zero charisma. Must be related to Will Smith.
Girl, early teens, horrible singer, zero charisma. Must be related to Will Smith.
Man, 45-55, Must be Will Smith.
Kidding. Here is the breakdown.

1) Man Early 20s. Not classically handsome. He is witty and smart. Physically fit.
2) Man Late 20s. Physically fit, handsome and confident.
3) Woman late teens. Physically fit, independent and with a great sense of humor.
4) Man 65-75 Tough and opinionated.
5) Man 30ish An intellectual.
6) Man 40s Physically fit, military type.
7) Woman late teens. Tough, smart, physically fit.
I hope Chloe is the teen girl. What actors do you see in these roles?

I think they cast unknowns or lesser known actors for most roles. Don't see them casting any super big stars.

I think they'll get someone who is known but isn't like Tom Cruise known for the leads. Take the TDK/MoS approach: Cast a good lead whose personality won't outdo the role and then surround them with great supporting actors/actresses.

George Lucas isn't casting and the prequels were a disaster. They don't go the route, guaranteed.

They will still have well known actors in the movie. They may cast a few lesser known actors like they did with Obi-Wan in the prequels or Captain Kirk in Star Trek but make no mistake, they are going to have a star to market. It is Disney so expect Darth Depp.

They do if they want to market it to casual fans. Of course the die hards will see it. I'm not talking a Leo or a Tom Cruise or a Brad Pitt but they will have someone of note. Fassbender is a star but he still isn't a household name to casuals.

I really don't care what the actor/actress's Q rating is as long as they can act and fit the role they are playing. Leonardo DiCaprio, Gary Oldman, and Charles Dance (Tywin Lannister) are in 3 separate areas in terms of Q rating, but they can all act. That's all I care about.

If JJ is making the calls, I have no worries. His casting has been awesome to date.
I do worry about the script though. GL scripts and dialogue make good actors look like shite.
Hopefully the script is better than that.
