Why did the NCAA move to BBCOR bats?

I was just curious as to why the NCAA made the move to these bats? Was it because of injury? TIA

Did you guys hear the announcers during the Saturday game I think that said that college baseball fans welcome 2-1 and 3-2 baseball games now instead of home run derby?

the bats are bullshite. LSU should have had 4 HR's last night. These pussy bats let teams like UCLA win. It's an epic joke and needs to be fixed. UCLA should not have even been in that game last night.

Even today, at the end of the OSU game, Kyle P. mentioned the infamous 21-14 CG game and his partner said "well I prefer a 2-1 game like yesterday", and Kyle, advocating allowing minor league balls for more action, rightly said "well there's nothing wrong with 5-4 either."

I'm not so sure. These new bats are basically equivalent to wooden bats or even worse. So I would assume that College Baseball will eventually just go to wooden bats, might as well
So basically I think it would have been a huge risk for bat companies and their future to have pushed for the BBCOR

Probably not. I wold imagine that keeping a stock of wooden bats costs more than aluminum because they are not as durable and have to constantly be replaced.

Such is life. We can't allow people with better abilities to thrive and make the lesser-talented people look bad and feel bad about themselves can we?
Isn't this why every kid gets a trophy and nobody keeps score anymore in little league?
