One of my boys is coming over to cook steak, sausage, pork chops, a couple of casseroles, and back porch nilla ice cream. My Daddy will be coming over, so I'm really coming out of this deal pretty good, just sip and watch baseball.
After several sips, I'm gonna forget that I shopped and bought everything for my day.

Our dinner out Friday night was supposed to be for Father's Day, but I GUESS I could cook something today.

But not for lunch.

Happy Father's Day, OG and all the F&DB daddies.

Got a block of hog head cheese from T-Jims to nibble on while we smoke sausage, ribs, and chicken wings.

Gonna be a good day, cotton.

Since I want to watch the US Open starting at 11 am I just finished big lunch and will snack thru LSU ballgame.

Made the best stir fry ever. I'm usually disappointed with the sauce but this was perfect.

Cut up some chicken breast, mixed with 2 tb of terryaki and 2tb of flour...set aside.

Stir Fried fresh green beans and garlic for 2 minutes; then added 1/2 cup of chicken stock. Turned low and let simmer covered for 5 min. Set aside.

Turn wok up to high and stir fried chicken mixture for 4 min. Then added bean and stock mixture; turned heat to medium and stir fried uncovered to allow evaporation of liquid.

Then added 1/4 cup of Thai Sauce (hot and sweet). Continue stirring on medium uncovered for 2 minutes. Served over rice.

Not looking forward to lunch honestly. My parents buy crappy grade less steaks from Winn Dixie when they cook steaks. Hell, I still don't even know what cut of meat I'll be walking into. I offered over and over to buy steaks from fresh market since my parents live in the sticks but it was to no avail.

My mother told me she was marinating the shitty steaks last night and when I asked her not to put a marinade on mine, she refused to listen.

The crappy steak will probably end up being cooked to medium++ even though I'll ask for lower.

Maybe you shouldn't even go, cause afterall, the grade of steak is the most important thing on this day?

I just said I'm not looking forward to The food. Love my dad but my family and I have little to nothing in common :/ makes visiting difficult conversation-wise.
