Let's say Gordon turns into a monster to start the year

I know many in the trade-EG camp want him to have a good start, that way we can get some value for him. Let's say he comes out and just dominates without missing any time because of injury.
Should we trade him while his value is the highest it may ever get? Do you keep him, and risk the chance of him getting hurt again and missing a lot of time?

It really is kind of a double edged sword. In order to trade him, you need him to be healthy and playing well. But if he's healthy and playing well, why trade him?
As with anything, it depends what you're getting and who you would be trading him to.
Are we trading him to a crappy team for good young players and a 2014 unprotected? Are we trading him for other damaged goods? etc.

Well if he is playing well, we are probably winning. So I highly doubt we would trade him at that point considering the last few years.

This. If we could trade him to Charlotte for MKG and thier unprotected 1st, I'd trade him. Other than that, you probably keep him and hope he stays healthy.

Same thing I've been saying. The only way I see him getting traded is if someone is willing to overpay for a currently injured or slumping EG. Or if he starts acting like a complete puss and Demps just decided to trade him for a turkey sandwich.

Trade him as soon as possible
Him putting up good numbers and being healthy is fool's gold, and we should cash in as quickly as possible

This thread title reminded me of the time Monty called Bellinelli a "monster"

Because another injury is inevitable.

Exactly. And if we know that, Im sure every GM in the NBA knows that. Plus, no team wants to trade for that contract.
Like it or not, were stuck with him. No team wants to trade for a player thats been hurt every year and you have to pay him top $$$$. And, I seriously doubt EG is the type of guy that would restructure his deal.

This and only this.
There are only so many "monster" type players in the NBA. You don't trade them to get a couple of pretty good pieces or a pretty good piece and a draft pick that will likely be just another guy. To win a title you likely ultimately need multiple all star level players. You can go around and around with building and rebuilding and trades. If you have an excellent player you go for it.

Wow, I will never understand the Gordon love on here. He has never ever been anywhere close to a "monster" player. I want him traded now, but no one is dumb enough to take him. So yeah, if he starts off good and someone offers anything, trade him and trade him quick.
