Ragin Cajun would be a shorter ride for me than Woodrow's but Woodrow's atmosphere is much, much more impressive.

The Lil Woodrows are so much better than the Big Woodrows. Food has gone south The Lil Woodrows in Midtown and the one in East Downtown usually have a food truck outside which are 1000x better than Big Woodrow's food.

I'd seriously consider picking up the pizza but at the same time I may get to Lil Wood a bit early to secure a good table and not ready to eat yet. Other than Frank's in downtown, who else serves the area?

That is not the name of it. It's called Woodrow's Heights. Not to be confused with Little Woodrows in The Heights ( on White Oak) a couple miles away or with Little Woodrows on Shepherd.
Woodrows Heights = old Mardi Gras Grill.

They should have left it Mardi Gras Grill, it stood great on its own merit. Not that the Woodrow's brand isn't great but I enjoyed it not being lumped in to it for the mere fact that it was low key.
