Headed to Omaha and trying to lock down tickets from a local season ticket holder. Any more info on the date/time for LSU's first game? Right now all I can get is the generic Sat or Sun at 2 or 7.

We're ranked #1 in the country and playing UCLA.

Plan on 7pm

The last three years the super regionals that start first play on Saturday. I hope that they stick with this plan.

If North Carolina and NC State both win they will be in prime time at 7. We will play at 2 unless South Carolina or Rice win

An in-state game gets primetime over a #1 team with national appeal versus Los Angeles team? Unlikely.

Are you serious. LSU is the 4 seed. ESPN could care less about poll rankings. UNC is #1 in their minds. UNC vs NC State will get 7 pm slot if they both win. Count on that

Agreed. LA market and SEC market bigger than state of NC

We shall see. Either way we are going to beat UCLA so it really doesn't bother me either way. Just my opinion

Which is why we had Mike Patrick and Kyle Pederson come to call our SR. NC has a desk anchor and two former "stars" who sound like they're still in broadcasting school.

We will have the 7 pm slot.

LSU tends to generate more attention from the general public compared to the other teams when it comes to college baseball. If they didn't give UNC/USCe the primetime slots for the Supers, they surely won't give it to them for CWS. Plus, they know LSU will bring more fans to the game than any other team that'll be there. Also, seeing as several Nebraskans are LSU fans as well, it gives them time to get off of work (if they are working on that weekend) and head to the stadium themselves.

Stranger things have happened though. But If UNC vs. USCe wasn't tabbed as the biggest super, than UNC vs. NC State will be no exception and that's IF either makes it there.

We're talking about baseball, not basketball, to add to the argument. I have my LSU flag flying high here in tobacco country!

Let's wait and see what happens. LSU got prime time because of Nola vs Gray.

Obviously the SEC market brings in viewers, but I wouldn't count on the LA fans to tune in. UCLA averages like 900 fans a game, the park only holds 1500 or so.

Nola vs. Gray isn't enough to overlook traditionally good college baseball programs (as of late) in UNC and USCe. Especially the latter being to the last three CWS finals and winning of those 3 appearances.

But again, anything could happen.
