I'm waiting for the day when a bat shite crazy player beats the frick out of an official over a horribly blown call or stupidity like this.

That ump is a self-righteous prick.

Wow.

Glad to see Brad Mills found work again after presiding over the Astros train wreck...

try playing these games w/o umps. everyone makes a mistake sometimes. and while you are cheering the player for beats the frick out of that ump, the player's career is over. out of baseball forever.

I'm not condoning any acts of violence against officials, I'm just saying its inevitable.

I wonder how managers and umps interact off the field? Do they just blowit off and say its part of the game or do they really old grudges?

Nobody is saying they don't need officials. But c'mon man. That ump was being a spectacular douche after he fricked up a call. There is no reason for an ump to act like a POS.

I was watching a LL game and at he end of the game a coach said something to the ump about his terrible strikezone. The head of the umps was watching and threw the coach out for arguing. The coach laughed and said he was going home anyway.

In the major leagues I can certainly see a scenario when a player should be tossed after a game is over.

Lets say he is acting a a huge arrogant, prick, a-hole (which 90% of those guys tend to do). He needs to be repremanded. Maybe it will bring fine/suspension.

So y'all feel that just because the final out has been made a player/manager can abuse an ump? (I'm not saying this occurred in this situation).

Me thinks this would be a nonissue had the guy got on base or hit a HR instead of popping out. And yes, I know it probably changed the AB but still.

The player is the one who ran up to him and stuck his finger in his face. They both seem like douches.

Not out of the ordinary. Umpires are trained to have control until they leave the field.

In some LL if a coach is ejected he will likely miss the next game as well. Not sure if that is the case in this league or not.
