Has us taking Alex Len and has some interesting things to say about him saying he could be a steal at 6...

Analysis: The Pelicans will take a long, hard look at both Burke and Syracuse's Michael Carter-Williams. But I'm not sure they'll bite. This team drafted Austin Rivers last year to be its point guard of the future and sources say that the team hasn't given up on Rivers, despite a miserable rookie season. With Greivis Vasquez also in the backcourt, point guard isn't a huge need if they're happy with Vasquez and Rivers. That makes Len an attractive option here.

The Pelicans see Anthony Davis as a 4 in the NBA and aren't convinced Robin Lopez is the long-term answer at the 5. Len has enormous potential at the 5. He can score, rebound and block shots. If his foot wasn't injured, I think he'd get much more consideration at No. 1. He could be a steal for the Pelicans here.

Haha exactly what I said... While I do think Lopez is a steal at his price tag, Len is making more and more sense now if we can somehow trade for a good 3 to fit in the rotation.

I still think we need a better starting PG immediately and Rivers is no where near that yet, so somethings got to give. It doesn't mean we draft a new PG though, because obviously they want Rivers at the point in the future.

The only thing that doesn't make much sense to me is that when people keep saying Rivers is the PG of the future is that I keep thinking that he played SG way more than PG last year. Getting hurt didn't help, but if we want him to be a PG, it feels like he should be getting as many minutes there as possible.

As for the pick, if we don't take a PG, I'd still rather us trade back and take a SF

I've been on the len wagon for a few weeks now. i'm not too familiar with his injury concerns though i'm hoping that's not a long term concern

Never seen Len play so can't say anything bout him. I've been on the Burke wagon for a while but whatever happens is cool with me I guess...except bennet

Rivers started to figure it out before he got hurt. In fact, he was playing his best game of the season when he broke his hand. He's a plus defender with a gift of getting into the paint. Once he works the kinks out of his shot, he'll be fine. He works too hard to not be a decent player. I would be okay with Len at 6 for sure. I'd also be okay with Cody Zeller who was also considered a candidate to go No. 1 overall early in the process.

the way I see it, we have 3 holes (pg, sf, and center), if we can fill one in the draft and it becomes a respectable player I'm not complaining.

The only hole we have right now is at SF. The other two position you brought up needs some upgrading. If you have players to fill the position, they shouldn't be considered holes.

So you wouldn't consider Aminu a player that could fill the Sf hole, like Robin Lopez fills the C position or like Vasquez fills the Pg Position.

the writers must have caught wind of my Alex Len campaign . he's starting to show up in more and more mocks at #6. this makes my pekovic dream a little blurry though. as much as i would like it, i doubt we draft a center then sign one in f/a. what we gone do?!

lopez and next year's 1st for pek.

If McLemore fell all the way to #5 and then we end up with Len I might slit my wrists.
