I am new to running a hunting club (I use that term loosely) What should be going on this time of year, work wise?

Spraying for weeds around stands.

Making sure club stands are in good working order and Moth balling them.

Bush hogging?

Put a game cam on your mineral sites so you can see what you have. They will flock to minerals right now, and its a fun way to get progression pics of your bucks.

Depends on how much work you wanna do and how much you wanna get away from the wife.

Can you bush hog and clear shite? Sure, but won't you have to do it again in August? Yes. Why not and just wait to do it then. You can even work on stands and such. Why not just have a big work weekend in August?

My point is that a lot of what you would be doing now will be duplicated in August.

You also might want to put some cameras out to locate good stand locations.

Are the trails already cut?

Great advice. Without question this needs to be done.

That's exactly what I did 3 weeks ago and got 1200 pics in that time. My kids like to scroll through the pics too and talk about the ones they wanna kill. It's a good way to keep them interested IMO.

killing hogs,yotes,armodillos,coons,opposums,

Usually a great time of year to bring randoms to the camp as well. The other members are less likely to be there. I usually buy a 100' roll of visquene and make a slip-n-slide for some full nude girl on girl camp action. Take 1 picture and show it to only one other member. When word gets out the other members will be there every weekend. When they show up make sure you have plenty of work to keep them occupied while waiting on the entertainment.
