That was really cool. My wife is from Bosnia and they have to be careful where they walk in some areas due to the landmines that were placed.

Bosian mines are rarely from ww2 most likely from the civil war,.
Shown were some of the best war relicts from ww2 i have seen, looks like the Russian battle field this was , was never cleaned up. And if you find a body and ID why not return the soldier home considering he could have been mia w no closure, also everything loks preserved very well

That SS helmet gave me a really uncomfortable feeling for whatever reason. Just seeing the symbol.

Kind of sad. It's weird to think about that era and all of humanity at war.

I'm curious as to how some of those weapons were so well preserved...seems they would be rusted to almost nothing by now. Same with the other metal stuff and book pages. 70 years of exposure to the elements..I guess if they were still in some sort of container they would be well preserved.

I couldn't imagine living through that time. Think about how scary that had to have been...Nazi's taking over all of Europe and developing a war machine to control all of the continent...mass genocide of Jewish people, Hitler declaring the 3rd Reich to last 10 thousand years. If you read Revelations in the Bible...the prediction of the end of the world is very close to what the Nazi's tried to accomplish.

I especially couldn't imagine fighting in that war...people lose sight of how costly that war was and how bloody it was. Millions of people were killed, entire developed countries laid to ruin, Japan was freaking nuked.

Imagine being a 21 yr old soldier storming Normandy beach facing 50 cal machine guns on a cliff mowing down your fellow comrades. Imagine seeing for the first time German submarines, advanced weaponry, organized airstrikes, chemical warfare. The german scientists experimenting on live humans.

The men that fought for our country in that war deserve the utmost respect. That is a type of war that never needs to happen again.

Agreed. Our generation couldn't so it. Too entitled and not enough have the upbringing to bear it. Could you imagine these 18 year old punk kids on he front line of Normandy. I don't think I could do it

I noticed a colt in 38 in there. Pretty cool. Gotta be dangerous digging up all that live ordinance.

Well put. Those were different times. We'll never see anything like that again IMO. Nukes will be launched before it gets to that point.

I always found this to be a great quote by Albert Einstein:
" I don't know what weapons will be used in world war three, but in world war four people will use sticks and stones."
