can anyone shed any light on
ESPN Bases Loaded
Cox BR - 250 (1250)

Is this channel going to magically appear if you have the sports package? It will show the most interesting game of the moment like NFL Redzone.

Pardon my ignorance.

TIA.

another translation could be

don't call LSU when they have no control over the issue. If you can't watch the games because your provider doesn't carry ESPN3, get on the but of your carrier and get them to carry ESPN3. It's pretty simple.

I think Bases Loaded is just something that will air on ESPNU between the scheduled televised games, and will give in game updates on what's going on in the games while they wait to start the next televised game.

Lots of comments here bout "angry old farts". I find it amusing to know that each & everyone of you young whippersnappers will reach that same exact age & disposition, too. And, yes, I can now work the delete button without any further written instructions.

I am > 60, (LSU 76) started on an IBM SL and know how to hook up my laptop to my TV thank you, but the house I am staying in this weekend does not have any internet connectivity at this time, so I am limited to my iphone, something I am not all that happy about.

"All games will be televised."

ESPN trolled the frick out of everyone. All games will be streamed. Pretty big difference.

LSU is one of maybe 6-7 schools where a large number of fans care about baseball. I you look at the big picture, this allows all the games to be broadcast on some medium whether it be TV. or streamed via Watch Espn. Without this 3/4 the games would never have been broadcast to the public. Sure this sucks for LSU fans but Espn is looking out for the bigger picture and this actually is great for growing College Baseball. More people get interested in college baseball, the more games they will televise each year. LSU just happens to be about the only school this affects because we already televised the games anyways. I'm all for growing the sport of College Baseball.

that makes sense. I'm checking to see what this channel 250, 1250 is all about too.

Speaking on behalf of the old people out here, we have just as much animosity for the young folk who assume that everyone older than them are ignorant.

Guess what youngster, I was once your age and if you are lucky you will get to be mine.

There are just as many ignorant young folks as there are old. In fact, reading posts here makes me tend to believe that we are in the minority.

How does this grow the sport? There will be shitty programming on the ESPNs on tv while college baseball can only be found streaming online. I fail to see how it will reach a larger audience.

This has nothing to do with growing the sport. ESPN could care less about the sport. They are trying to grow exposure to all of the stuff available on ESPN3. There are a lot of sports on ESPN3 and they want more hits on that site.

Let's say you've never been to ESPN3. You go there to watch the LSU baseball game. While looking for it, you see that they also show Aussie Rules Football. You remember one time you were up at 3AM and turned on ESPN back in the dday and saw an aussie fb match and loved it cause it was just nuts. So now, you may return to ESPN3 later to watch aussie Fb.

That is what ESPN is attempting here.

Have any of y'all stopped to think that ESPN may have contractual programming they can't pre-empt on their other stations, which may be one of the reasons why the BR Regional is on their WatchESPN platform?
