I'm straightening up my shed, found an unopened bottle of rum. Not sure how long it's been in here. Could it still be good?

Anything that high in alcohol cant go bad to the point that it will hurt you.

I'm happy to dispose of any portion that andouille can't get rid of. It's probably pretty toxic at this point, so I'd probably have to use a mojito disposal AND a rum runner disposal to get rid of it safely.

Depends on what you mean by 'go bad.' Hard liquor does have a shelf life. 100 year old unopened whisky wont taste anything like a new quality whisky. It's not like some wine, which can 'improve' with age.

Will it kill you? Nah.

And, yes, 24 year old scotch is considered better than 12, but that's time in the barrel which is a completely different story.
