So Iron Man 3 Sucked

Wasnt really surprising though. The first doesnt have a ton of rewatchablilty and the second was nothing to write home about.
If nothing, this trilogy has managed to turn a number of awesome actors in to some really crappy villains. Jeff Bridges, Mickey Rourke, Sam Rockwell, Guy Pierce and Ben Kingsley. Rockwell and Rourke probably being the two best. I think thats what holds the trilogy back for me. Non interesting bad guys.
On to my Iron Man 3 thoughts/complaints.
1. It was kind of funny. It was more of a comedy to me than anything else. Literally every other word Stark said was a joke. Was pretty annoying towards the end.
2. Jon Favreau needs to step away from the film industry for a while. This guy sucks, actor/director, whatever. He is one of the worst actors on the planet. Were we supposed to care about his driver/Pal Blart Mall Cop character? Im tearing up just thinking about the emotional rollercoaster I went through. No wait, its from laughter.
3. They ruined the best thing they had going for them; The Mandarin. He was an evil character, they even made him out to be within his own crew. At one point they lead him into the room to film a scene and body guards are like "master is coming in" (I doubt I got that saying right but you know what im talking about). Then he sits down and is like ill shoot anybody who plays around. So it appears that he is genuinely feared or respected by people in his crew. But later you find out he is just a scam and a giant pussy. So the whole entourage was a scam for no reason other than to make you fear him? I'll be drinking Budweiser acting like a freaking idiot later but be scared of me now guys. "Omg he is a badass, even his crew is scared of him. O wait, he's a bum and nobody has any reason to be scared of him, but we're going to because we need movie goers to think that too." He was truly a good villain, one that the nation was actually in fear of. But, like all their villains, they screwed that up royally.
4. Finally, the "depending on how we want you to view a character will determine how easy they are to kill" thing. Aldrich blasts Tony's old hook up from close up and shes dead never to be seen again. But every other one of these hot molting lava characters is virtually impossible to kill. During the final fight sequence Tony and Rhodes pop a magazine full of bullets in a few of these guys and they take a step back, then wolverine it and get better instantly. When they shot those few people with a bunch of bullets and they instantly started to heal, me and my buddy in unison throw our hands up and are like "o cmon." The strategy to live is to burn up, get limbs chopped off, fall a few stories, ect. Just dont get shot once at close range.
Guy Ritchie blowinf fire was pretty hilarious too. Im like where did that come from? And the kid. Hes like "omg youre iron man? proceeds to listen to him talk about being iron man and his suit. Then he slaps a very conveniently held newspaper on him telling him o by the way youre dead.
It wasnt the worst super hero movie ever, but it wasnt anything special. By far the worst of the three.
I guess I am a little prejudice as well in that a movie like this will make a billion dollars. So we're only going to get a billion more super hero movies.
Im ready to debate, bring it on...

I agree.
I didn't even laugh at most of the parts that were supposed to be funny. So at least you got that much enjoyment out of it. . .

I haven't seen the second one. I thought the first was overrated, but okay.

Movie was awful. I chuckled like twice.

I enjoyed all three for what they were, popcorn superhero flicks.

I thought Guy Pearce was the best part.

I chose wisely in not going see it

Dont know if Carson took my advice, but spend $9 and go see MUD instead. Great movie.

MUD
My mom hated it, but that was because she wanted to see hot McConaughey.

Second one is way better than the third to be honest.
As to IM3, you know there's a problem with a superhero movie when a comic book fanboy like me thinks Star Trek blows IM3 out of the water and it's not even a debate at all.
What a mediocre trilogy this was.

I agree it was hot garbage, but

Did she actually have the fire upgrade procedure performed on herself? I'm pretty sure she was just a normal person who got shot.
And I though it was on par with the other 2. Good, not great. I did not like all of the avengers references. New York, aliens, etc.
