Better Summer Movie so far: Star Trek 2 or Iron Man 3

As more of a comic fan than Trek guy, I'd say hands down I enjoyed Trek more than Iron Man 3.
If predisposed to the original material did that influence your vote on this?
I think those going in blind to both movies probably enjoyed both, but likely Trek ahead of Iron Man 3(because Paltrow isn't in Trek).

I liked iron man 3 more but enjoyed both.

Tough call. I enjoyed both movies. But the edge is going to Star Trek.

Enjoyed both. Star Trek Into Darkness wins though. I had bigger problems with IM3 than I did with STID.

I agree. Star Trek gets the win.

I genuinely hated Iron Man 3. I laughed maybe three times during the entire movie, while the rest of the theater erupted at all the cheesy jokes. Didn't like the movie at all.
Star Trek Into Darkness was surprisingly good.

Star Trek. Iron Man 3 annoyed me with the clean slate thing.

I think Man of Steel will trump them.

Man of Steel will dominate

Star Trek 2 was fricking awesome. It was way way way better than I expected it to be. Very excellent movie. Haven't seen Iron Man 3 yet but I really need to.

Really liked what I saw from the previews before STID.

I'm not anit-Iron Man, but the treatment of the source material kind of deflated the viewing expierence. There were some good scenes in IM3, but ulitmately it has a smaller feel than Trek. If the Rhodes storyline was better maybe that would have helped. You need a good secondary storyline and Trek had several (Scottie for example).

let me start off by saying both were extremely underwhelming and i'm still not sure what the goal of both villains in both films were.
that being said i think i enjoyed iron man 3 more.

I will say that the most disappointing thing about Trek is the underutilized Karl Urban. He's great in every scene he's in, I wish they'd give him more to do instead of just bouncing off of Kirk (which is great).
