I tried a search but couldn't really find anything.

But I will be mainly in Shanghai for the next few months and was wondering if any of y'all had any must eats or place to avoid, things to avoid ordering etc?

Thanks yall.

Eat everything, if you shitfire then try to figure out what caused it. Don't assumed it all didn't make you shitfire, so the process of elimination might involve a synergistic effect from combinations of items. I'd carry TP on me.

Haha yea see everyone so far has said just eat everything, but at the same time you're going to shite your brains out.

I like to think my stomach is a steel trap but I am sure nothing can hold up against what I am about to face.

And it's mainly for work but yes I am lucky to be going over there.

There are fantastic dumplings in Shanghai, some of the best are found in the major market/bizarre. Ask for xiaolongbao and someone will steer you in the right direction. There are lot of eateries in Pudong as well as on Nanjing Rd on the other side of the river.

In Beijing you will find the best Peking style duck in China. There are also a lot of hot pot type establishments in Beijing, I'd be cautious with these as you may end up with the Chinese equivalent of Montezuma's Revenge.

Peking Duck and Hot Pots were the best meals I had in Bejing. There are also a lot of good Indian places if you need a break from the local food.
