Has anyone on here purchased a redbox rental machine? Thinking about looking into getting one. Is it worth having just 1 or do you need a few at differnt locations to make any profits?

Don't do it, unless you are just going to put it in a low income area. Everything is moving to streaming, making such a machine obsolete.

The area would be a low income area. You might be right about becoming obsolete. Does anyone know how much they cost to purchase?

You can't purchase a red box machine, the company does not allow it. You can only be employed by red box to monitor and maintain machines. You can however purchase one of the many different knockoffs. However this would be difficult to turn a profit, obviously, in a heavily saturated red box market.

I feel like the ship has sailed on this type of market. A few years ago, ripe but seems too saturated now.

There is a knockoff machine on the college campus in my town. They placed the machine in the most heavily trafficked building on campus, which I am certain is keeping the income steady on the machine. It has been there for 2 years and still trucking along.
