5/17 - 5/19 Weekend Results Thread!

Beautiful weekend right?.... Wrong!
We broke down early Saturday morning after drinking all night and getting absolutely zero sleep. We got towed to the island where our friend's parents were camping out. We didnt pack any food or water, just beer. Needless to say, by mid morning the hangover was catching up and the sun was baking down on us
We finally got a tow back into Cocodrie around 3:30 and made it to Boudreaux's Marina by 5:00ish
Come to find out, we kept calling the guys at the camp to come get us but our buddy Redneck wanted to stay on the island and have everyone come there and stay the night. Apparently there were three "rescue" attempts coming our way that were turned around (including Terrebonne Parish Water Patrol)
But its all good, we're alive. Words of wisdom... dont drink all night and then attempt a fishing trip with no food and water
Anyway.... my brother and Boats n Hoes' brother tore up the specks in GI late last week
and my mom, dad, and their friends tore up the trout in Cocodrie Saturday
All in all, eventful weekend but we're all good!
FWIW it was 3rd Part Tiger's bachelor party and he had a good time. Success!

Headed to my hometown Thursday for a wedding of my wife's friend on Saturday. Cousin calls with a 45+ with quad 300s and asked if I wanted to go tuna fishing Saturday (my first tuna trip invite ever)
Ran it by the wife and it was not only a no but a hell no. Well I get her drunk Thursday night and she caves and said I can go.
Awesome. Text my cousin first thing Friday morning. And.... the boat was full.

Me and MattStin had a bit of a rough morning Saturday. Fished a pond in the early morning, I caught 3, missed 3, and Matt missed 3 as well, then we moved to the Red River, and didn't do anything out there but see a shite ton of snakes.

Rough morning for sure. Trigger finger was too strong in the pond, swung and missed 2 on a frog, lost 1 to the moss on a senko. River was a beast in itself....Coco, you didnt note snake city on that map at the jetty

We went out of Hopedale Saturday. Ended up with 65 keepers. 4 or 5 of them over 3 lbs. and a few bull reds.

Caught 1 beautiful trout. Most frustrating trip I have ever had. Watched guys 30 yards away tear them up. Lost another 5-6 good ones at the boat. Now I know how it feels watching others do what we normally do.

We shot 68-68 in the Cochon tourney at Bruin. Lost by 2, but we got real drunk and had fun. Also go enjoy a cocktail and a cig with Big Stewie Smith. Fine weekend.

I drank beer on Pensacola Beach all week. Heading down to the camp Thursday and can hopefully catch my first big mess of fish this weekend.
