Brandon Harris has to be a major piece to our class in my opinion ...

It is no secret that over the years our QB play has severely hampered our ability to win a National Championship. Having a kid so talented in our own backyard in a cycle where our state is unreal loaded at a position of need is just awesome. I really hope Coach Cameron is selling him on the amount of talent he will be surrounded by when he chooses to come play for the home team!
I think he is just as important as LF, CRob, Willis, Noil, Brum, Hootie and on and on.

With us taking Jennings and Rettig last year I'm going to disagree with him being as important as some of the names you listed

Yes but for the reasons they said he jumped.
1) He is working his A$$ off with his new QB coach.
2) The hard work is paying off. From reports his mechanics are really sharpening up along with his accuracy.
3) I am in favor of a mobile QB in our league. Since we get called for holding more than all other teams in our league we cannot have a statue back their against good defenses. We need a guy that can create when a play breaks down and Harris can undoubtedly do that.

I took that into account but keep thinking how QB play and QB play alone has killed us. I wish we would take 2 every cycle no matter what. I know that is not realistic or feasible but the depth will sure make them all push each other.

you took that into account, and still rate him as just as important as LF
whatever

Well... I don't know if I'm reading too much into it, but Harris did confirm his announcement date immediately after Cameron worked him out and he got his lsu offer.

And I agree it's a very important piece.. I don't have to tell you that miles knows what he's doing but I think you have a point here.

It's really hard to say. I don't agree that it's more important than LF but I see your reasoning. We aren't hurting for a RB...

I don't understand why people keep saying this. Have you seen him play or looked at his tape to decide this or are you going off what a lot of other people on here are writing? Well I have watched every game he played live and went back through every game he played on film and tracked every pass. His stats are as follows: 158/306 51% 2763 yards for 26 td's. There were 29 passes thrown that were right in the hands of his receivers that were dropped. I believe that all of these passes would have been caught by a D1 receiver. That would make him 187/306 61%. 61% completion percentage is pretty good if you ask me considering the QB play we (LSU) have had the last few years. That being said, he looked darn good in the spring game and has put on a few pounds of muscle too. Me being an LSU fan, I hope he comes to LSU but what I really want is for him to do what he feels is in his best interest. He is a good kid and look I forward to his decision in July.
