I have only looked at his highlight tapes. I have not watched his game film. I just take into account that there will be drops anywhere he goes and that is a part of football.

On a side note, since you have seen him play can you give us more insight into his game.

Strengths/Weaknesses? Throwing on the run?

Brandon has incredible arm strength and can throw the ball 70 yards with ease and if you look at his spring game highlight video you can see he has great touch on the deep ball while standing in the pocket and running . He is listed as a dual threat QB. He is very fast but he is a great pocket passer and is very comfortable there. When he gets pressure he still looks down field for someone to throw it to but he can run the ball. On the down side, he throws the ball hard and needs to slow it down a bit on the short passes. He also holds the ball with one hand wile running and it makes me nervous when defenders are around. He also needs to learn to slide and not take as many hits. He seemed to tone it down a bit on the ball speed during the spring game so that was good to see. The other two he still needs to work on.

i want him for many of the same reasons, and while the argument can be made that rb's are more disposable or interchangable,LF is a generational type prospect. Not to mention we have Jennings

I really don't see why he's ranked so high on 247. I mean, he looks like a good athlete and has a decent arm. Outside that, what makes him a great QB? His accuracy isn't that great. He can run which is nice but I'd rather see more of what he can do throwing the ball. I see a good arm but inconsistent accuracy.

I don't care what anyone says about coaching accuracy, you either have it or you don't. He doesn't have it. Sometimes he's accurate and then you'll see the next pass hit the WRs feet.

He's a take but I wouldn't say he comes close to being rated over the prospects you mentioned. They're a far bigger need at this point. But we do need to take 1 QB in this class. We should take one in every class until we hit gold and then process the others. I'm thinking Rivers won't be here next year. Jennings already looks better than him.

Accuracy can be improved at a young age, he's not in college nor the NFL so he has way more room to grow. You either have arm strength or you don't, you either have speed or you don't. Decision making, pocket presence, mechanics, footwork, accuracy, can all be improved with hard work and a competent QB coach. The guy is only 17 for goodness sakes.

I'm glad that we have a talented QB in Louisiana and a legit QB coach to teach him. Maybe he challenges Rettig for Jennings' successor or maybe he gets processed, but you take this gift of talent and make him compete and make your depth more talented by the outcome.

I believe that all of these passes would have been caught by a D1 receiver.

Sorry, but no way! Maybe half would have been caught. D1's drop balls, too. Let's call it 56% to D1's.

I assume his accuracy improved so significantly enough in just 3 short months?

I'm not buying alot of this either.

....and this thread is a painfully obvious example of rating/star gazing, IMO.

His accuracy is affected by three things:

1) Footwork
2) Learning not to throw everything hard
3) Parkway's offense does not dink and dunk. Everything is pretty much vertical passing game

All of these are correctable

What you can't teach coach and why he is so coveted is that there is not ONE throw the kid cannot make. 20-yard comeback? Bust the top off a defense with a 70-yard bullet? Check Throw on the run down the field? Check. He has all the throws.

A Bama offer is always good for a bump with these rating services, as is going to the camps. You could be privatetly working on your game and being the best you can be, but if you are not showing at these camps, these services will drop you. A little media buzz influeunces these services as well.

according to 247 sports, rudolph has moved up his timetable and will announce in the next couple of weeks. BH will likely be pressured at the bayou picnic this weekend. things are moving very fast.

I would love to see this young man at LSU. I just see no down side to putting the full court recruiting press on BH. He is an extremely talented Louisana product.

What's the point of all these QBs if we are gonna have Jennings for as long as they will be here? I mean, will we sign one or two?

logjams always work themselves out with attrition or injury. just the way things work.

Let's say for 2014, we have a 3 way battle with Rivers/Jennings/Rettig, with Jennings winning out. I could see Rivers wanting to transfer, and then Rettig being your backup.

And then, Rettig gets tired of riding the pine and wanting to transfer out.

so you have 2 transfers from a supposed logjam...and your 2 2014 QB signees have redshirted, spacing out the gap from Jennings and setting up the future QB battle.
