Late Mother's Day present for my mom at Shell Beach

My 73 y/o mom caught this monster red. We didn't measure or weigh, but you can tell from her expression, it didn't matter.

That's great to be able to go do stuff like that with your mom and share that experience. My mom doesn't even like going on boats, much less actually fishing. She will have some great memories of that trip.

She'd rather reel in 1 redfish than 100 trout! She loves to hear that drag scream as much as me. It took her a while to get it in but she did. This red did not like the sight of the boat at all! It was a nice catch and release. Was worried the fish wouldn't have enough strength to make it after such a hard fight but he did.
