I will be in Paris for a week and ideally, would love to take a winery tour, but with only a week, I don't think we have the time.

Instead, our Wednesday is free. We are going to try and get some afternoon tickets to the French open and thought about a wine tasting or something earlier in the day around lunch time.

This one came recommended, but wasn't sure if anyone else had any suggestions for an hour or two tasting in the city.

ETA - I know we can get better wine on our own without the tasting, but though it would be fun to sit down with the somolier and go through the experience.

Take the TGV to Reims and tool around drinking Champagne for a day. Go to Le Baron Rouge near the Bastille and drink wine straight from the cask.

Even if you only know white from red, you dont need a formal wine tasting.

I'd skip trying to visit a winery and go to Lavinia or Willys wine bar, have a seat, drink lots of different wines, and eat some good food.
