I really don't get the impression the NBA is looking for expansion anytime soon....I think the Bobcats kind of ruined that train for awhile

Not just the Bobcats, but the Grizzles & Hornets both moved within 15 years.

Thread title needs to be changed

I just posted about this on the help board. Since I didn't change it, I'm inclined to let the admins have their way, even though it is false information.

ETA: I have a hunch that they meant to say "by Maloof Family". Also, the original article linked was modified by the Sac Bee to include much more information. ISWWDH

They need to expand to Seattle and Vegas and move New Orleans back to the East. Too many late West Coast starts to care about staying up late to watch them.

Chris Mannix has some tweets on the Hansen/Ballmer group this morning

quote:

Chris Mannix ?@ChrisMannixSI 32m League sources say owners offered to pay Hansen-Ballmer group the $30 million non-refundable deposit they paid the Maloofs. They declined

Chris Mannix ?@ChrisMannixSI 31m Sources also say that hedge fund manager Chris Hansen will not file any lawsuits in relation to the Kings/Seattle situation.

Chris Mannix ?@ChrisMannixSI 31m Ownership sources agree the involvement of David Stern was critical in the process. Kings were in constant contact. Seattle group wasn't.

Think he means Sacramento group instead of Kings

Chris Mannix ?@ChrisMannixSI 5m Seattle group could not have been any stronger. Deep pocketed, passionate owner(s). Arena deal. Disappointed, but their time will come.
