I saw a thread a couple of weeks ago about a guy in the Baton Rouge area that has pen raised quail and pheasant. I need to get his phone number.
I searched forever and I found nothing. TIA

no idea might be tough to get this time of the year, but if your training if you can trap some pigeons they are great.
Good luck.

I haven't bought birds in years, the contacts I used to have changed. I have seen a guy on craig's list with birds in Breaux Bridge. Angola (the prison) also has and sells birds. I don't know what you will find at this time of year, normally the birds that they have are bring used for breeding...

Saw some quail last weekend at a farmer's auction I sometimes attend. I've seen pheasants at times too.

If they haven't been kept in a flight pen and developed good flight, they are almost worthless for training...
