Sober up, or just do hair of the dog at the LSU bar?

That's another good question. I know really nothing about Omaha. If I'm lucky maybe the Giants or Nats have a series in either St. Louis or KC

St. Louis is home from June 17-23 (cubs and rangers)- 6 hrs from Omaha

Kansas City is home June 4-12 (twins, Astros, tigers)-3 hr from Omaha

I wouldn't be able to make it this. Just trying to figure out how much I need to try and save and set aside for a future season. Unfortunately I'm not OT rich.

I don't have a credit card, and won't get one. I have no debt, and want to keep it that way(till I buy a house)
But that would be an option.

Dear Lord, time is what is important. If you have time, go. I wish I could.

It was one of the best Trips i ever made. Omaha loves LSU too and gets bummed if LSU doesn't make it. Dry weather except they can get some pretty big thunderstorm cells in the summer. I put my entire trip on the Underhills bill.

As an earlier poster said, too many variables. In 2009 we went for the final 5 days. Wife got tickets from work (Ochsner), I used points for the hotel (Embassy Suites) and for the flight. The flight was listed at $1200/ticket out of BTR, but would have been a good bit cheaper if we had booked early...so book early. Hotels Downtown for that week run from around $200 - $400. Barrett's and Upstream also cost us about $200/night.

So, your Mom can hook your father-in-law up with a plane ticket but not you? What's up with that?

I am not a dependent. She's married to him. When I was a dependent, I could fly for first class for $20 each way.
Is $3,000 a good rough estimate for the entire series? If we book early.

We made road trip in my Jeep Wrangler. Fun times with the top down but I could have easily rode up there on horseback. Balls were numb for a few days

I could easily drive up there by myself, if I split it into 2 days. I've done 17 hours to Richmond that way several times.
Depending on if having a car would be very beneficial, that could be the best
ETA: Does look like once you leave Memphis it is mostly US and state highways.

From where? Looking at gps on my phone, it saying 16-16.5 from West Jeff. Granted that doesn't take into account stops for gas and what not. Only a few more minutes than what it lists to Richmond, and that takes about 17. Either way, Memphis may not be a good place to stop, except maybe for a BBQ dinner

I believe it took us around 16. Again plenty of stops. We made one less stop bc one of the Guys coming up with us decides to take a steamy shite in one of the empty coolers in route outside of kansas city. Different story for different day

I swear, the more I read and post in this thread, I want to get a credit card just to pay for the trip. Swore I would never get one again. But this really could be the perfect year for a LSU fan and UVA fan to go.

No, I have no debt, and kind of wanted to keep it that way. Tore up my credit card about 3 years ago.
