I almost forgot to vote. Ended up it wouldn't of mattered for this or the mayor race.
Any idea how long it takes to get our money back from the toll tags?

Wow. I'm sure my parents are excited. Can remember paying tolls long before I started going to Brother Martin, that's awesome.

They didn't. They just did not let about 400 people vote on the issue.

Not exactly sure .. I think the new voters who were not on the voter rolls but were legally allowed to vote did not have the toll vote on their special ballots.

Great! Now they just have to close the out side lanes to fix that bottleneck problem.

When does the Causeway come up for a vote?

No, there were hundreds of people who were registered properly but for whatever reasons poll workers couldn't find them on rolls so they weren't allowed to vote on anything but the federal ballot. Poll workers were overwhelmed and basically just screwed up a lot.

Turnout was also massively lower among those who don't travel the bridge frequently, and those people were more likely to vote to keep the tolls so their taxes wouldn't increase or be reallocated from current spending.

But how are we going to fund the constant road improvements in Mandeville adjacent the Causeway. Lol.

I do appreciate the fact that traffic seems to runs smoothly and accidents are swiftly dealt with. I have commuted that bridge for 8yrs with minimum issues and no tickets from the concrete police. That $3 toll should really be looked at for reduction.
