A co-worker just brought some in. It looked familiar, and when I asked, she confirmed the rumor I've heard. That it is run by the same family that used to run Burger Delite on Airline.

Do any of my fellow AP residents have experience or knowledge of this?

It's the brother I believe. Good burgers and malts.

Slight derail but does anyone else think 5 Guys burgers taste like a better version of burger delite/griffin grill?

Man I miss Burger Delight, there was just something about driving up making your order and waiting in your car for them to call your number for the brown bag of greasy goodness.

Double Burger with Onion Rings and a Strawberry Malt always made me useless for the rest of the day.

Had it for the first time in a couple years and honestly no sure if it was an off night or my taste just isn't what it used to be.

Was a decent burger, but not what I expected/remembered. Wouldn't put it in my top 5 around BR/AP. Not writing them off yet though. The fries were good and the ice cream machine was on the fritz so I can't comment if the walnut malts were still up to par.

It is now on my short list of places to try. I'm sure by the time the weekend is up, I'll sample it. I have fond memories of the burger delight/delite (anyone ever notice they had competing spellings on their signs and menus etc?) burger and fries.

I never dabbled with their frozen offerings. Just a good ol' burger combo cooked in unsanitary conditions on a griddle lit by a bare light bulb hanging on a wire.

Good burger. Taste like they cut it with pork or pork sausage? Something in the burger I couldn't point out, but pretty solid

Glad I posted about this, and even more glad I tried it tonight. I'd say the burger is nearly identical to Burger Delight. The fries may be a bit different, but no fries really transport well, so hard to say. The patty seems to be the same mix, thickness and texture of BD. The lightly waxed paper wrapper fits the bill as well.

I'm excited to have a burger place that doesn't require me to drive into BR again. I recommend it to any fans of burger delight still in mourning.

It should be, the same guy makes these that made the burger delight ones. Anyone who says they are not the same are mistaken.

Well, i gave this place s shot Saturday evening.

I was really disappointed. Got the burger and it had no seasoning at all. Tasted like just cooked ground meat. The patty was probably 1 1/4 thick which probably had to be cooked a really long time. The place was hot as balls and the dining area is almost inside of the kitchen.

2 burgers
1 roast beef poboy
1 order of fries
3 fountain drinks

$28.50

Don't think I will be going back any time soon.

3 fountain drinks - 6 bucks ( $2 a drink I assume, like most places)
2 burgers - 12-14 bucks
1 order fries - 3-4 bucks
1 po-boy - 7 bucks?

Did 28.50 include tax or before tax?
