Vacarro's floor isn't anywhere near Jones' either.

while i think everyone has the same floor, i think Kenny is the safer pic. But he isn't a game changer. Jarvis Jones is a game changer.

Depends on how much work he puts in. Steelers have a good team and I expect him to get pushed, but there is a chance he just folds and busts out altogether.

I still think he'll be an average player getting 6-8 sacks a year.

IMO, his game is pretty similar James Harrison. Not all that much speed or range but puts himself at the right place at the right time.

I think you are wrong. I really think we are gonna look back in a few years and kick ourselves.

Imo we got the better Georgia player in the 3rd. Big reason why Jones looked so good.

Very possible and if I am I'll freely admit it.

Just keep in mind that I'm not saying Vacarro will be the better player or will be all pro. I'm saying my projection is both of these guys will be average, but given what we have Vacarro will make more of a difference imo. He can play FS, SS, and NB which we were very weak at all 3 last year. We have 3 guys that do what Jones does.

And 28 sacks and 9 FF the last 2 years at UGA shows he was doing something right.

If he's able to do this with a lazy work ethic, how good will he be when he gets his act together?

I'd take Polamalu over Harrison any day. Harrison was a game changer(sometimes) but Polamalu was a team changer. They sucked without him(may be a slight exaggeration).

Bad comparisons. One is a very good football player and the other is an all-time great.

I agree with that, but until these guys play you can't realistically compare them to anyone.

I was just simply answering the question asked.

Im an lsu fan, he was a god pick.

I wanted us to take NT with our third, cant argue there.

Overall, the saints did good after being screwed. yes they got screwed.

Come on roger, what coach doesnt teach to tackle with your head up. that's shite you learn in peewee.

They blasted us with change happening. Seriously, how many of you learned to use you helmet as a weapon. No body!!

they tried to shove that shite down our throats. Im not fooled. football is football. no respectable person is teaching kids to hurt other players.

you don't get 14.5 sacks and 13.5 sacks riding coattails. He also wasn't a full time starter in 2011, when Jarvis Jones had 13.5 sacks.

Part of this team under Payton is getting character guys and leaders. If they don't think a guy has a strong character and leadership ability, that's going to take him out of consideration for a high draft pick.

I've got no problem with that. Look at the people in our organization. Hard workers who are stand up people.

am sure out Defense practiced really hard last year, and then laid eggs on gameday

And I am sure that I wouldn't want a player so selfish that he had no interest in practice.

I'm also sure that you don't know shite

Like everyone else watching the draft, I was eagerly anticipating hearing the name "Jarvis Jones" after the picks fell the way they did.

After a couple days, everything I hear about Vaccaro is good, and that includes his attitude in interviews. I freely admit not having watched this guy much in college, while I was super-impressed with Jones at UGA.

Like others have noted, we need help all over, and getting the top safety will help tremendously. And like others have also noted, premier defenses have premier safetys- Troy Polomaulu (sp) in Pittsburg, Ed Reed in Baltimore.

Is Vaccaro one of those? Dunno. We'll see.
