obviously the TV ratings with the Lakers in the playoffs will be higher than it would be with most other teams, therefor this was a financial move by the NBA to push the Lakers into the playoffs.

job well done Stern. your puppet officials danced just the way you wanted them to.

Laker haters getting mad makes it so much more enjoyable. Thank you.

Yes. I started a number of game threads for them, as well.

Although it can be damn near impossible to keep up with games on the west coast.

Why couldn't it have been Howard with a career ending injury instead of Kobe

I hope the lakers beat the spurs and nuggets just bc it'll be hilarious for all the laker fans and talking heads to try and explain how the lakers are playing better without kobe

I actually thought the rockets got more calls towards the end. I had no horse in the race either

because Nash, Gasol, and Howard are finally near full health?

Nash isn't even playing. Gasol does this whenever you run the offense through him, which they didn't do with Kobe. Howard is healthier but he's also happier with Kobe out. Not saying it's Kobe's fault at all, but Howard, gasol, and probably Nash when he gets back are all more effective with him out

Lakers: 17 fouls

Rockets: 28 fouls

Lakers certainly got more calls overall.

I disagree with me too, it's just been two games. But if they go on a run to the WCF, well then it's a real conversation isn't it?

the bandwagoners are strong in this thread. I wonder how many of these Lakers "fans" have been to any Lakers games outside of the New Orleans Arena

No way on God's green earth will the Lakers miss the play-offs. The NBA will never let that happen. You can take it to the bank.
