I am concerned about it, but every time I question it, I think back to Austin Ross in 2009. My worries end there.

Why? We have already played the two teams that have 3 good starters...

It is very common to play Sunday like a midweek game and get a ton of relief pitchers in. When you get to CWS you only need 2 starters anyway.

You need 4 solid guys once you enter tournament play IMO. But I do agree with the fact that on Sundays we generally have our whole bullpen to use

No way! It was just your imagination that made you think that Gomez was pitching from 57 feet.

That's true, but there is plenty of time to get McCune ready for mid-May and beyond. He may be the difference maker.

Wish Glenn could have stayed in to see what would have happened. He could have got a ground ball the next play to get a DP, get out of the inning, then pitch a good scoreless 5th and would have had a quality start right there with 2 ER in 5 innings. We've seen that from Glenn before, meaning getting hit around early on then settle in for a quality start.

I think we're fine as is going forward. We really dont have a better option to this point other than if Glenn gets in bad trouble on sunday go to Bonvillian as long relief then hopefully get to Boojawh and Cotton down the line

Sunday starters just arent as good as fri/sat guys and you have to accept that.

Exactly. And if Gausman was here they'd be staying i'm worried about Eades in the Sunday spot, not confident in sunday's, on and on.....I'm confident our sunday guys are better than "their" sunday guys. We have depth and a coach that can handle a pitching staff and come tourney time it will show.

If Glenn if not the answer, then go with McCune for 3-4 then Bonvillan for 3-4 and Bourg for the 8th and Cotton for the 9th.

I think Glenn can be a great Sunday guy and I think Alan Dunn will have him where he needs to be come late May.

The only problem with that, is we may not be as lucky as we were this past weekend having Cotton, Bonvillain, and Bourgeios available on Sunday.

Need a guy like McCune or Bonvillain to step up

What we know:
1. Glenn has been hit or miss this year. When he's on, he's more than capable of filling the Sunday role.

2. Bonvillain looks much more comfortable coming out of the pen. Can go 4-5 innings tops before hitting a wall.

So my thought is, no matter what happens on Friday or Saturday...try to save Bonvillain for Sunday. Let Glenn start, if he's on great...if he's off after a couple of innings, you have a quick hook and insert Bonvillain to get you 4+.

Are you worried about Sundays, or just worried about having a quality 3rd starter in the event we have to play in a losers bracket game?

...cause at this point, we'd have to fall apart to be at a point where being .500 on Sundays would hurt us.

We'll see the alternative on Sunday as I've read on other sites that it's likely Glenn won't be available against Bama due to a bruised knee.
