Why is the GoT Middle Ground Thread Anchored

It is not superfluous, in my opinion it may be the only hope for GoT to be discussed without an all out e-war on the M/TV board.

re: Why is the GoT Middle Ground Thread Anchored

Was wondering this as well. There was a lot of whining and complaining on the "No book readers allowed" topic for people who had questions last week so we figured that having a Middle Ground thread would allow for Q & A without the Book Readers thread giving away too many spoilers.

The board is dark and full of terrors without it.

And after all I've been through, they go and anchor my thread. It was our last, best hope for peace in Westeros. Admins, please remove anchor. I am afraid you will be assaulted with RAs from nonreaders complaining about readers going in their thread if the middle ground thread is not reinstated.

At least you weren't banned. It looks like USMCTiger may have been for the harsh language he used towards belle.

It looks like he posted over on the OT not that long ago, so I don't think he's banned. The comments just got removed and that happened sometime this morning I think.

iluv, sorry to say that if the admins don't unanchor the thread or tell me in here that I can start another one, there will be no Middle Ground thread. Good luck.

The 2 other threads aren't good enough?

I think we need a thread for those people who only read half of the first book and wear socks with the toes on them.

See how stupid it gets when we have threads on the exact same show just tailored to different groups? We don't have seperate game threads for normal fans and rantards when LSU plays

If people are posting in it (and there are plenty posting in it) what's the big deal? If people don't like the volume of GoT threads then just don't click on them.

I don't care if this thread gets reinstated or not, but I must remind you that just as recently as the Friday LSU baseball game there was a second game thread created on the Rant to do BPB for the people who's feed over the Internet was a couple minutes behind the main thread.

I believe the people with the slower feed were upset about "spoilers" being posted by people who were watching the faster feed.

It was un achored.

If people can only post in one thread. I am fine with that. But then don't make spoilers bannable.

That would be pretty tough. How many topics could we discuss with only giving them a bit here and there. We have too much info in our heads from the books. Probably better if we start a specific question thread and we answer that one question.
