So Jules the hitman is friends with some random citizen, who doesn't look askance at him showing up with a headless body? Weird, but I guess Quentin needed to find himself a part.

How come Butch's gf never gets brought up in any discussions of most awful and annoying characters in film history?

Also don't know how your interest could be waning at that point when it's right after Zed.

Doesn't everyone have friends outside of work?

To be fair, he didn't want his wife to find out.

Jimmy is shady and trying to live a normal life. That's a nice house in L.A. He does not appear to be fully "in" the game, but is familiar with the rules. Also, he does not appear to "owe" Jules anything, so the relationship appears to be personal friendship - no implication there is current business between the two. Jules called because that was the closest person he knew when they needed to get the car off the road.

I get the impression that jimmy used to be in the game or was on the sidelines and he and jules knew each other from back in the day. It looks like jimmy married up and now is trying to live a normal life and doesn't want his past coming into play and his wife finding out about his past.

better question who leaves a loaded machine gun on the counter of a persons house that you were sent to kill while taking a shite in that persons house and reading a readers digest or was it a mad magazine.

A spy novel called Modesty Blaise.

You understand the implications of "The Watch" - right?

Jules has left the game, leaving Vinnie without a partner. Marcellus, not wanting to leave anything to chance goes with Vinnie to Butch's apartment to look for clues where he went, and to wait for him in the off chance Butch comes back.

Marcellus has gone to get breakfast - he left the Mac-10 on the counter (they probably looked and were unsatisfied with what Butch had in the kitchen) and Vinnie went to the bathroom. When Vinnie heard Butch come in, he probably thought it was Marcellus.

Therefore it was Marcellus' fault Vinnie was killed (with his gun), and Marcellus' fault that he and Butch fell into the hands of Maynard and Zed. Marcellus obviously has some bad karma issues - the briefcase was a big deal, and he had to give up Jules (his more competent assassin) in payment for that result, and his errors in trying to seek revenge for Butch, resulted in his sacrifice of both Vinnie and his vendetta against Butch just to remain alive, and even then he was raped.

That's why Jules truly doesn't eat pork, so he doesn't end up shitting on the job

And FWIW, he was reading Modesty Blaise...

That was a racy novel my dad had on the top shelf of his closet when I was a youngin. Of course I found it

As I remember, her signature move was walking into a room topless, which would shock her target/victim long enough to whack him.

Jimmy does make a damn fine cup of coffee. I believe it's because he buys the gourmet expensive stuff.
