Anyone have experience with this. I just bought a new Tahoe and want the Chevy emblems in the front and back to match the body color. Truck is "mocha steel"

Boom.

However, I wish I would've left just one GMC symbol on my sierra, to let everybody know I'm upper class.

Remove, get it painted or do it yourself, reapply with 3m tape

There will be two tiny plastic pins from the emblem on the back that either go into the body or front grill to help position, try not to break them off.

If you have a GM vehicle, you should check out this forum if you're planning on doing any "mods." They have a bunch of how-to write ups.

Some of you failed to read the "body colored" part. I don't want black emblems. I want body colored. See paint color in picture.

The gold part of the emblem comes off the front. see my comment about the pins above. Are you wanting the chrome painted as well? The chrome part is attached to the rest of the grill insert

ETA, if I recall correctly, the gold part seperates. I painted all of my grille

If you want a body color and since yours is obviously not a "regular" color, you'll have to get the paint code from the dealer/body shop and order some to make it match.

You can still do it yourself if you wish, but you need to order that special brown color paint.

Its not that hard to take off man, just a couple screws and popping some clips/pins.

Any reputable body shop will be able to do that. When you sell it get a new set of badges and put it back to stock.

Like I said I am pretty sure it comes off the chrome. I would have to go look. its been a year since I did it. The back piece is all one piece and comes off just like all emblems, just watch for the pins

The front I believe is the same, but it comes off the chrome portion of the grill. if it doesnt, you will have to take out the chrome portion and tape it off.

The front chrome portion is two pieces, the top which includes the emblem and the bottom, you should only need to take off one. its not hard just a little bit of a PITA. lots of clips holding it in
