I am asking due to Rock River introducing the Polymer 1911. Will other companies that "Specialize" in polymer pistols make an attempt at producing one?

Rock River Arms Polymer 1911

Smells kinda Glocky....

I hope not...but in todays market and the buying spree people are on. All a gun maker has to do to sell guns is get stock on the shelves.

I'd be willing to give one a try.

I'm not holding my breath though.

32 oz vs. 41 oz

That is considerable in the pistol world. Especially if you are going to carry it concealed.

That.

Of course this will work. It's ignorant to believe it won't. You take the most natural grip design of the most popular pistol ever and build it out of modern materials? How could it not work?

Sounds like injuns talking about how steel knives would never be better than good old fashioned busted rocks.

Right, building a 1911 so that it weighs less, requires less maintenance, and all the other advantages of modern materials will never work because IT WAS GOOD NUFF FER MAH PAPPY!
