I can't tell if it is going to be awesome or a steaming pile of shite. I will probably go see it.

I think the people who are doing previews are starting to "know" me. I just want to watch everything now.

My bet is that it will be closer to a pile of shite. But it could be an awesome pile of shite.

Probably not. Baz Luhrmann has a way of taking good things and making them bad. I just don't care for his artistic style. Romeo + Juliet is the only one of his movies I somewhat like, and it took me being forced to watch it twice to really appreciate anything about it. I really only liked the way he was able to intermingle Shakespearean language into a modern version of the play, and I suppose that's the work of the screenwriter more than the director.

SPEAKING of which, Joss Whedon has done a modern adaptation of Much Ado About Nothing that looks rather interesting.

I have very little interest in it so far; none of the trailers have drawn me in. And the last one I saw seemed like it showed the entire movie, and I still had no interest.

I'm sure it will be fine for people looking forward to it, but outside of just stupidly awesome reviews and word of mouth, I'll be skipping this one.

Yeah I don't get the intense trailers. I need to read the book again but from what I remember it was pretty slow.

I've really. Even wanting to see this because of the cast.

Just reread Gatsby over the weekend.

I think moulin rouge was extremely well done, and I haven't seen another movie styled quite like it.

Watch that movie after eating some mushrooms and then tell me it's a steaming pile of shite.

As for gatsby, I have no idea what the story is about, so that will probably help with whether or not I like it. I hated Romeo fwiw.
