I want to try out fluorocarbon line on my Curado 200, I have never used it before. Can yall recommend a 15lb brand? I have heard that fluorocarbon has issues with knot strength, the line breaks at the knot. Has anyone experienced this? Thanks for any help.

Personally, ive tried vanish in the past. Didnt see a huge difference over regular mono. So i only use it for leader material now. As far as knots, never had a problem

I use trilene 100% fluoro . I love it for flipping and pitching . Bass pro xps is good as long as you use 12 pound or under . Seagar and sunline are good brands also . I've never had a problem with knots breaking either

I will say, i only saltwater fish. The abrasion resistance is better, hemce toe leader. But couldnt see a need for entire mainline to be fluoro. Just my preference

I don't care for it but as far as the knot issue goes, I've heard that when you tighten your knot down you need to wet it. Cuts down on heat and friction which weakens it when you tighten it.

I still use mono for everything other than jigs and plastics . I use braid for Carolina rigs with a fluoro leader . The sensitivity seems a little better flipping and pitching than mono and I'm with you I like the abrasion resistance

Leader material only. And for 15 pound think 12 and you'll get the same abrasion resistance and better knots.

I use Seaguar and Sunline on all my crankbaits and spinnerbaits, and I have had no problems. I wouldn't use it for weightless, but for jigs and Texas rigged plastics it's not bad.

I've used it before and I hated it. It didn't cast well. There was something else i hated about it too but indont remember what it was.

I never use specific leaders. I just cut a length of line off the end and make one.

Yall are making me want to go back to mono. What are your favorite 15lb mono lines?

I used to be a big fan of stren original. It's strong but its about as big around as winch cable and you'll have to change it out every year.

Monkey-I got the truck out. The trailer is still back there.

Used to use it offshore only and never had a problem with it for 150lb+ tuna Used 50-80 lb test. I did install some 20lb test on a fly rod that I will be using for sacalait fishing. Will see if that holds up to snags and trees.

With this rain coming, it looks like it will be there for some time.

With 2" to 3" of rain coming, you better get to it.
