Looking at the attendance for the past week, and I see a ton of games with less than 20,000 in attendance all over the board.

Are people becoming disinterested in America's pasttime?

No
People are tired if shelling out so much money for so many games.

Valid point. Can we blame the players?

Thought you were going to come in here with stats comparing it to this time last year or something. All you got is "I see a ton of games with less than 20,000"?

Another baseball hater trying too hard.

Where I live, yes. Baseball is almost a dead sport here. (northern georgia)

I'm a baseball fan.

And I don't know what last year looked like. But I would imagine it being better than this in the first week:

Ticket prices for sporting events are rising at a greater rate than income for the shrinking middle class.

= Sit at home and watch the game

It's also been an abnormally cold April in many areas of the country. It was in the high 30s Thursday in Atlanta.

The yankees sucking arse will help keep those numbers down. Yankee stadium was about half full as the Red Sox were dolling out that early punishment.

Dodgers fans are even wearing sweat shirts to the games right now.

This is one of the worst post I've seen on here from a baseball hater.

"I watched a couple of clips on Sportscenter and didn't see full stadiums. My rainman counting abilities tell me attendance is way down and MLB is a dying sport."

There has also been a ton of day games. Attendance tends to be lower for day games.

I don't watch Sportcenter. I don't have cable.
