That is just sad; lots of discussion during U broadcast about how the new bats are too dead, how the college game is boring with so much small ball, how nobody thinks grand slam with bases loaded anymore, and how the ncaa needs to recognize it has hurt the game and adjust the bats .

That includes the regular season games by Creighton. I haved said the last 2 seasons, just what they were saying. Find a happy medium. I don't want the 97 or 09 bats, but just a little more action. It sounded like they said MLB had a livlier ball. If that's the case. Makes sense to use that, since they went to metal bats that act more like wood bats.

It's ashame College Baseball wasn't as popular in 1997 as it is today.

Man I couldn't imagine how fun it would be watch a season with 196 HRs being hit.

you'd think with the billion+ dollars MLB teams spend on just their payroll, they could pony up a couple million $$ to the NCAA to help subsidize a budget for wooden bats

They could solve the money problem, sure. But the quality wood problem would still exist.

2010= the end of Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium
I'm thinking that might have something to do with it.

This is the 3rd year of the new bats. That statistic would be the same in either park.

what was the deal with the 2010 bats? weren't they some sort of medium between the old ping and the new dead?

Are both ballparks facing in the same direction?

I shouldn't have said it as an absolute, but I believe that statistic would be the same.

TD Ameritrade: due east from home to 3rd

Rosenblatt: believe it was due east from home to 1st

+1. MLB gets A grade bats. Minors get B. No way college teams could get maple. They would be using pine

There's a movement in college baseball right now to change the ball grips to equal the major league balls (lower the height of the strings). This would in turn help out the offensive side of the game.

college baseball today is less like slow pitch softball and more like real baseball... and the sunday games don't last 5.5 hours.

The bats were ridiculous in the late 90s and they're ridiculous now.

They were PERFECT the way they were before they changed them three years ago.
