This is odd timing for this post. He scored 21 points last night and he really looks like he's starting to get his speed back. If this had been his first injury and we didn't think he was soft as charmin then I'd actually be pretty excited about him next season.

I dislike the baggage EG has created for himself. I don't like his demeanor at all. But last night he showed me what he's capable of when he's right. I don't think there are too many people who can stay in front of him. His first step is unorthodox and deceptively quick. He gets the the rack at will, even in traffic.

As much as I don't like the guy personally, he is a difference maker when healthy and happy. Hopefully we can get both next year.

I agree. He has gotten off to an awful start with the fans, but if he stays healthy he could be a special player. I also agree that once he starts playing consistently he will begin getting more calls.

5-17 shots for 21 points is good?

Posey is the correct answer.

You've got to admit he's looking more fit now than he has the whole season, and he's looking more explosive.

I would rank them, in recent memory:

1. Posey
2. Gordon
3. Okafor
4. Peja

Gordon can move down the list if he ever shows he's anything more than an average NBA guard

5/17 is not good, but 1.23 points per shot is actually not bad. That'd put him tied for 60th in the league and guys at or just below that spot include Ty Lawson, David West, Greg Monroe and Ryan Anderson LINK

So at worst he had an ok scoring night, certainly not troll worthy, and when you consider that he was looking noticeably faster and more energetic, I'd say it was a good game on the Gordon scale. Maybe he will show enough to get traded this summer.

Okafor or Peja weren't "bad" contracts by NBA standards.

How can you even judge EG's so far?

1. Peja - max contract to a guy who only shot 3s and was always injured and disappeared in the Spurs series in 07-08

2. Posey - 35mil when his stats every night read 1/5 5pts

3. Okafor - he just sucks

The common denominator is Bower
