Without a doubt Gordon's will go down as the worst for the Hornets here...at least Peja was past in prime and no one expected his injured arse to produce. Fans still see the Cornerstone as the savior of this franchise, but he will never play more than 50 games in a season again.

neither were that bad. James Posey and Emeka Okafor are another story.

dude I am far from a Gordon lover but this is a dumb thread. you can't judge EG as the worst contract ever after only one season. pure stupidity

why do you love gordon so much. Did he wink at you when you were at a game one time and now you think you have some sort of connection with him. HUH WELL DO YA

This is odd timing for this post. He scored 21 points last night and he really looks like he's starting to get his speed back. If this had been his first injury and we didn't think he was soft as charmin then I'd actually be pretty excited about him next season.

Correct. But objectivity or patience apparently equals nut hugging on the board.

is not a person. Okafor had a decently poor contract, but nowhere near as bad as Peja or Posey.

Posey's was pretty bad.

Okafor performed but was a couple of mil overpaid.

Marcus Banks?

ETA: Lewis? That deal helped slash a ton of salary though, and he was bought out, so I'm not sure if it counts.

If oak was closer to 7 mil than 9 or 10 or whatever he made, it would have a been a solid contract. People under value what he did replacing Tyson. Such is sports.

The only thing that doesn't exist on the internet is middle ground.

I think Okafor's contract was viewed as being bad because of the timing. Posey and Peja were worse, but at least we had a decent team and players.
With Oak's contract we didn't have a good team and were kinda hamstringed from making moves. I think that was why it seems worse than it was.
