half-throttle stupidity story

in basin today, reed canal area, bass boat with 200 yamaha comes FLYING toward us. ace-driver of bass boat with more horsepower than brain power decides to be nice and slow down for us, to half throttle creating max wake. then he has the audacity to wave and ask "doing any good?" i didn't respond or adknowledge him in any way but i had to explain to my nephew that the words he herd me say were not to be repeated to his mom.

no, it was awful. it needs 3-4 more days for the water to get right. its still too high. it was easy to find moving water but its still in the woods.
one bad thing i did hear at the landing: a crawfisherman was pulling his traps out because he ain't catching around pigeon. thats not a good sign for the fishing future.

the comedy seems to follow the economy. more $$$ people are making means more people buying boats that have never had one/don't have a clue.
i have no prob with someone trying to "get into fishing" and would help with questions, sugestions, etc, but damn, they can be funny

Or when there is one entrance to a lake you want to fish and some asshat is posted up to the entrance getting mad when you merely troll by him.
