Someone I follow on instagram just posted the picture of his bone sticking out of his leg.
Me too. I mean wtf? Everyone has seen the play, no need to show that.

I know right. I had only seen the place once (live), and I had no intentions of ever seeing it again.
I may have nightmares now.

It's gotta be the worst sports injury I've ever seen. I've seen legs snapped and bending the wrong way but in football your legs are covered up by socks and it masks some of the gruesomeness. Ware was just wearing shorts and his leg snapped right in the middle and the bone was clearly visible. It was just terrible. I hope he recovers. The surgery was a good first step.

Not clicking. I've had my share of gruesomeness for the day

I'll watch it someday, just not today
Prayers sent. Speedy recovery.

Hope there are no complications like a staph infection. They have been really increasing in sports injuries lately. I think even Tom Brady had one after his knee surgery.

It's because people don't take their medicationg properly. Strains are getting worse.

Is it just me, or did that fall seem like it shouldn't have done what it did.
I'm wondering if he had some underlying bone tumor or something that led to a fracture like thay

Another gruesome one was Napoleon McCallum whose leg went the wrong way in an NFL game.
I've been on the field twice when a leg has been broken. Sickening sound and disturbing to see.

I did tibbie and fibbie as the same time. Geez Louise!!! No fun for six months. The first time my knee moved after the full leg came off I almost went through the roof at cartilage doing something it forgot how to do.

but the injury is not likely a career-ending one.

I can say, the orthos at Methodist are the best trauma surgeons in the world. They deal with all teams in Indiana and the IMS. I had Dr Shide and Dr Webber work on me and they got me up and walking again after a serious MVA injuries I suffered. Also, my sister is an extender ATC for them. Ware is in great hands and will have a great outcome and recovery.

That injury of the WR running into a cart was bad but nowhere close to the Ware injury. By they way, why the hell was a train of carts strung in the back of the end zone with Houston driving?

I was saying the same thing yesterday. Something doesn't add up here.

It could have just been a freak occurence, but I was shocked at the injury considering Ware didn't land on a foot.

Has to be just a freak thing. When you saw the Duke players reacting, you knew it was bad...then they showed the replay. UL's bench reaction was kinda funny though (obviously the injury isn't).
Definitely the worst sports injury I've seen, and makes you feel completely awful for Ware. Glad to see everything went well with his surgery and that it may not end his career.
