Anyone have any experience purchasing any of these online? A recommended website or a place in Baton Rouge? I found usgoldbureau.com and was thinking about purchasing some items off of there. I want to purchase a bar of each type...obviously a smaller one since I am not OT rich.

Back in 2009 during the commodities slump I came close to buying some little mini-bars at Louisiana Gold & Coins on S. Sherwood Forest, but I never did.

Silver today is 28.12 per oz; thus a morgan silver dollar is $21.75. I would have guessed you could go to Ebay, but the cheapest junk silver dollar is $25 or so.

I used to purchase gold and silver online at gainesvillecoins.com. I have found a site with better prices at Liberty Coin & Precious Metals

Here are some good sites to compare your gold and silver prices:

I purchase the following silver coins and bars: American Silver Eagles, Canadian Maple Leaf Silver, Austrian Philharmonics Silver, pre-1965 "junk" silver coins and 10oz. silver bars (brand doesn't matter as long as it has the .999 Fine Silver stamped on it).
The only gold coins I purchase are American Gold Eagles 1oz., American Gold Buffalo 1oz. and Austrian Philharmonic Gold 1oz.
Why do I buy these coins? Because they are exempt from being reported when selling back to a dealer. Gold and silver exempt from 1099-b filing
Private sales don't require any reporting.

Liberty has a good deal on the $1000 face junk silver @ $21,925.49. Free shipping. Thanks for the website.
I can see the Dow take a 10% hit, and silver get back toward $34 per oz.
