Everytime I feel like trying to get a little more into the MLS, this type of thing happens. And it's head to head vs an epl game and college basketball. Why not put it tonight when it's going against womens basketball?

NBC has done a pretty shitty job of putting games on tv.

Watch out, the rich folk will be in here telling you to buy some service or switch to direct tv and buy another package or something

MLS Live is a great deal.

Also, SKC and Montreal is going to be the first "Stream of the Week" on MLS's site.

I think the problem isn't so much how easy is it to find a solution to there being no games on tv...

It's the fact that it's really hard to grow a sport with one game on for the public every day, and I know I for one enjoy watching on my tv more than a computer, hd + I can still screw around doing other stuff on the computer

It's $50.

FOR THE SEASON.

That's about 8 cents per game.

I've got

Philly vs New York @ 2:30 nbcsp
New England vs fcd @ 3 csn
Dynamo vs SJ @ 7:30 on their new local station.

Damn, that's it this weekend. There definitely needs to be more coverage of games.

I'm just happy that I finally get to see every Dynamo game on TV.

The 60 bucks for MLS Live is a good enough deal, but I still wish we could get more games on regular tv. You won't get much growth by making people pay extra to watch the games.

I guess as long as they show the local teams on their local stations you can't expect a whole lot more.

I bought MLS live last season and barely used it because I didn't feel like sacrificing doing anything on my computer and/or sitting in a computer chair for 2-3 hours over some game I'm just halfway interested in.

If it was on TV however I'd have it on while doing other things.

Exactly what I'd like to be doing. Do this with a lot of sports on the weekend.

I just think that the MLS will not grow if its not easy to watch a couple of games. I'm trying to pay attention to it more, but if I'm not already into it, I'm not going to be locked to my computer watching it.

My main point - MLS has to become more accessible to weekend tv viewers if it hopes to grow a bigger audience. Putting it up against the soccer league with the best ratings plus the much more hyped sporting event (Elite Eight) seems really stupid. Not a single casual fan will watch the match today.

I'm a bit worried about how many games we'll get once NBC has the EPL as well. When they're showing that much soccer already, will any attempt be made to grow MLS?

Watch it on your phone.

Get a cheap tablet for media streaming.

Buy a used Roku off of eBay for $20.

Yes, none of these things are free, but none of them are so expensive that you couldn't do any (or all) with a full weekend of work.
