looks like a htpc
modified A10 steamroller apu
8 GB DDR3 ram
500 gb hdd
blu ray player
phones home once a day
games coded to your xbox account, have to sign in to your account to play your game on your friend's box
used games not eliminated but not clarified as to how they will handle them.

Here is something to think about on the Xbox vs PS4 topic (i dont really want to start a new topic)

Xbox:
built on W8
modified A10 (steamroller) APU
DDR 3 RAM

PS4:
unknown proprietary x86 OS
modified jaguar APU (jaguar core apu's are the E-series aka low power, economy line from AMD)
GDDR5 RAM

what does the above tell us?
i think it goes to show the Xbox is more of an HTPC that plays games while the PS4 is built to play games first and do other stuff second.

GDDR5 will make a huge difference for the PS4.

yeah, its how they plan on getting around using a lower power APU im sure. from the looks of it right now, i wouldnt buy an Xbox because its just an HTPC built for gaming.

the PS4 is a true gaming box with some other features built in. we will have to see how powerful this jaguar apu is first, though.

both of these consoles are really going to sandbag the game development side of things. still going to see shitty console ports?

I think I just got the summary I needed about xbox. I have been real busy working in New Orleans the past couple of days which is probably good so I don't read all the console bs

linus put out his 780 benchmarks for 1080 and 1440 this morning. Performed very close to the titan in his tests when OC. 30-50% increases in framerates over OC reference 680 and 7970. Pricing for the 780 is supposed to be 650. Compare that to a 7970 at 350 dollars and you get roughly 30% better(primarily in 1440, in 1080 gains were higher obviously) performance for a 46% price increase. That's not an unreasonable pricing structure IMO. Very interesting. Can't wait to see where the rest of the series falls.

My cards and mobos will be here tomorrow.

I am anxious because I really want to bid on other stuff on there but I want to make sure the quality is there before I do.

Hope at least most of it is good. Pretty good chance since a lot of PC part returns are due to user error and nothing is wrong with the component.

I'd like to know more about that site as well if everything works out.

you ever deal with the black screen with cursor issue on windows 7?

I'm wondering if I should spend any time trying to fix my old laptop before I just gut it for parts
