Or is it the wrong time of year for oysters. A friend is craving them and saw jolies advertise them, but we didnt want to go anywhere so swanky.

Perfect time right now. With this little cold snap makes them even better.

I believe Phares advertises them all the time.

I wore jeans and a golf polo the one time I went. Didn't really notice if I was over or under dressed. Just saw its winedown Wednesday. Select bottles for $20.
Maybe you can dabble in that.

If I'm not mistaken, Gris Gris said a couple months ago that her experience at Dons that day was absolutely horrendous.

Went to Phare's a few years ago and it was beyond dreadful. So bad. If you have to stay in town, try Crawfish Time. Their's are very good. If you're willing to make the 20min drive to Maurice, DO IT

GG' s Don's is not the Hut on Johnson...at least not her gumbo joint.
Oh he'll, I've spoken for her. She's pulling out the cupie doll now...

My friend got some a few weeks ago when we were at Tap room. They were absurdly big that he couldn't finish them.

Those are in abbeville which is further than Maurice. I went to Dons on Johnston the other day for 35 cent oysters they do every Monday. Got 3 dozen for 12 bucks!
