If the offense does as well as we hope I have to believe the NFL will offer Cam a pro OC job. Do you think he takes it?

I actually think Cam wanted to come back to college. He has been in the NFL for years and knows it inside and out. Im sure some other NFL team came calling and seeing about hiring him as an OC or a QB coach. I just think he wanted to be back in college for a little while to take a break from the NFL. I think he stays for a few years, 3-5, then back to the pros.

If Miles wasn't BS'ing, when they introduced Cam as OC he said in his press conference that Cam's intentions were to be here for a good while. I believe Cam said it too but not 100% sure.

I think he's getting paid $600K this year and will get $1 million next. I know that's not NFL head coaching money, but it may be enough to keep him from an OC position in the NFL. I hope the NFL comes calling for him...that means we will have had an outstanding year.

I think he stays, he said he was anxious and excited to get back into the recruiting game and he played up the chance to get to coach with a good personal friend in Les.

I don't think he'd walk away from that and more after just one successful season... then again, I am an optimist.

He's making NFL OC money here so he has no reason to leave for that position. If its a head coaching job then you can't blame him.

If successful I think he stays a minimum of 2 seasons. As an offensive coordinator rising the ranks, you want to get going and see where your carrer can take you. But as a veteran who has been to every level, individual goals and accomplishments mean more. With that being said, I think Cam not only has an interest in building LSU's offense, but as a QB coach, takes pride in the development of his QB's. I seriously doubt he will feel very accomplished with one year of Mettenberger who he did not exactly groom. I think he wants to work with the young guys and make a difference there.

Only the rant can play out an entire calendar year over the course of about two weeks!

Him and CLM are too good of friends for him to bail the first year. I think he'll stick around for awhile. If he really likes it, who knows, he might stay for some nice championship runs

Who knows. Cameron's NFL career might have run its course. He didn't receive any offers from NFL teams this year after having a decent half a season in Baltimore.

There's only 32 OC positions in the NFL and only a handful of openings at the end of seasons. I don't believe success on the college level will do anything to boost NFL interest in Cameron.

Some folks are just meant to be a coordinator. There's nothing wrong with that. Maybe he'll go the Chief route. Doubtful though

I think we get him for at least 2 years depending on our offensive production.

If our offense blows up like we are hoping Cam is going to get one hell of an offer list.

I think we lose both Cam and Chavis when Les retires hopefully one of them(Chavis since Cam is unproven so far) will be the coach in waiting

it's hard to think about a scenario in which he does leave. because he has done nearly everything an upper level coach can do.

He's been a head coach in college, and he's been an accomplished OC in the NFL for many years. The only thing I can think of is someone from the NFL calling him back up for an OC position or someone wants to try him out at head coach, but I don't see that coming for a college OC.

Cameron will be a Tiger for a good while and a few championships.
