That redheaded chick last night was fricking awesome, but nobody turned around. WTF? They missed out big time...she was better than at least half the people chosen so far. I hope she gets another chance maybe at the end if they need to cycle through again to fill final spots...she was GOOD.

frick the pity hugs. So far this season I think Shakira has done it once and Adam twice. Nobody needs a pity hug when no judges turn around and they start crying...and to hug them and tell them that they were awesome and did a great job doesn't help when nobody wanted them on their team.

Shakira again trying to win people by saying "You're probably wanting to pick Adam right now..." God, she sucks at this.

Hey, Ursher, one of your sleeves is rolled up, dick.

Chick at the end was pretty good, but it's the same shite as before...Blake just namedropping and it works. Oh, your favorite singer is Miranda Lambert? Well I wonder what coach you're gonna choose... Also, her mouth was HUGE.

And if they are gonna keep rushing through picks every show (they've done it the last two shows at least), they could at least show a LITTLE bit more of who got picked. Telling us "Shakira picked R&B singer C. Perkins.." without showing us his singing doesn't really help us out or tell us shite.

Re-reading my post, looks like mostly bitching from me this time. I promise I really do like this show.

I wasn't a fan of the red head.

I am very impressed with Shakira. Outside of the two times she has mentioned another coach, she has made legit arguments for every other artist. She's more entertaining than Christina, and that's all that really matters.

I'll say this about her, she is very attractive. I always knew she was hot and all that, but she looks great.

And holy shite, I just now knew how old she is...36. She looks amazing for 36. And also for having a kid 2 months ago.

Also, Shakira seems to turn around for the worst singers. That long haired dude..

I was wondering why you were watching having read all of your posts.

I will take Shakira any day of the week over Xtina. Any day. Even Usher with his cocked up "I'm a cool dude because I discovered Beiber Boy" thing is nothing compared to listening to CeeLo talk for 15 minutes without saying anything.

CeeLo entertained the shite out of me. As much as he annoyed me sometimes, I didnt mind him on the show. I said last year that I wouldn't miss CL and Christina, and so far even though I'm not sold on Usher and Shakira quite yet, I don't.

I was suprised no one turned around for the red-head as well although I did wonder if doing an Adele song was wise when she first started (because every other singer is doing an Adele song).

I think they do the rush-throughs on the folks that put on the least impressive performance but were still picked.

Right, but she killed it I thought. I remember thinking not only did she do a good job, but she did a good job with an Adele song, which is even more impressive.

Oh well..hopefully she gets another shot at the end.

There seems to be something about people doing Adele songs that turns judges/mentors off for reasons unknown to me, but I've noticed it several times the past several years on a few shows.

CeeLo never entertained me. Not the bird, not the cat, not the stupid clothes and certainly not anything that came out of his mouth, eventually. He's not a good mentor, either. Last year was the worst.

I don't watch the shows but do people attempt to get the same scratchy/throaty sound she has? Because that's something innate .. you can't really try to duplicate it if you don't naturally have it. She's a tough act to try and emulate or put your own spin on.

Sometimes, yes, and sometimes, they put their own spin with their own voices. Some are successful and some are woefully bad.

How exactly did you find him(CeeLo) entertaining? His clothes? His creepiness oogling over some of those girls? CeeLo was boring as hell.

I thought last season was great... but the new judges are THAT much better than the CeeLo and Christina. I hope they don't come back.

The red head girl did have an excellent voice. She screwed up in picking the wrong song. She needed more power and passion in her singing. You can tell she has the range and power to go higher, but you can definitely tell she was nervous.

I agree. Wouldn't be surprised to see her try out again next year and make it.

I can't, for the life of me, figure out why broads go out on these shows and single Adele. Adele's voice is perfection, and if you sounded like her you wouldn't need to be on The Voice to score a record deal. If you're going to attempt an Adele song, at least put a creative spin on it like the white dude who sang "I'm Sexy and I Know It" with his guitar.

I'm enjoying Shakira and Usher as judges this season. Shakira is a bit trigger happy with pushing the button, but I think that comes with the excitement of being a first time judge. Way better than watching Christina passing over amazing talent b/c she knew she couldn't compete against the guys.

I wish a few more of the country singers would grow a pair, get out of their element, and pick someone other than Blake.

I usually quit watching the show after the blind auditions, but I may stick around this year.

All of that. Just the stupid shite he did and said. It was stupid, but it made me laugh sometimes.

I agree that he wasn't a great coach though. And like I said, I don't miss him (and knew I wouldn't).

More Carson excited in the family green room insanity last night.

I don't know what the judges are hearing, but some good singers not picked at all, but they pick up some just 'ok' ones.

And the pity hugs thing...ugh. If you were so conerned about their feelings Adam(he does this most of the time now), then you should have turned your damn chair man. Its a competition.

That's exactly what I thought when I was listening to her. She needed a few wow moments, but I felt she stopped just short of them.

My thing with her was that it seemed obvious to me that she was holding back a ton, and she still sounded like she did (which was great).

I was waiting on someone to turn and say that they could see that too...kinda like they all said about javier Colon the first season when he sang Time After Time.
