I wouldn't want to get hit by one.

I wouldn't want to get shot by a red rider either though.

Very true. All I was saying is that as long as it cycles through your firearm of preference then you are golden. I don't think anybody would want to be hit by any defense round currently on the market. The numbers do mean a lot and a lot have better expansion than others, however in this time with limited availability if you can grab it then get it.

I prefer ranger bonded or hst bonded but it's gtg.

I'd use it long before I'd use the Hydra Shok.
But I'd spend time looking for Federal HST, or Winchester Ranger-T or Corbon DPX before I'd settle for either one of those.

I prefer critical duty myself.

I am a Hornady fan...that being said reliable and consistent is determined by the gun you put it in. My gun may like it, but your gun may not. That being said...if your firing pin hits the primer, its gonna go boom.

I've been looking for critical duty for months. With that said, critical defense is now in all my guns right now.
I bought a box of Pdx1 but I've read too much about failure to expand with them.
